Visitor Guidelines
To help preserve the priceless collections of Salar Jung Museum and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors, please follow these guidelines during your visit.
Prohibited Items & Activities

No Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere within the museum premises.

No Food & Beverages
Food, drinks, and liquids are not permitted inside the galleries.

No Large Bags
Large bags, luggage, and bulky items must be deposited at the Cloak Room before entering the museum.

No Animals
Pets and animals are not allowed inside the museum premises, except where required by law for accessibility assistance.

No Flash Photography
Photography may be permitted with a valid photography ticket; however, flash photography is strictly prohibited to protect the artworks and artifacts.

No Touching Exhibits
Please do not touch any object on display, as many artifacts are delicate and irreplaceable.

No Restricted Items
Sharp objects, blades, scissors, lighters, matchboxes, and other prohibited items are not allowed inside the museum.
Visitor Etiquette
- Maintain silence inside the galleries.
- Follow museum signage and staff instructions.
- Dispose of waste responsibly using designated bins.
- Respect other visitors and avoid obstructing exhibits.
- Selfies and mobile phone usage should be kept to a minimum within exhibition spaces.
